When did you get started as a barista and how?
I started as a barista in 1998. I started by opening a coffeehouse on a college campus in Augusta GA and followed it up with opening a coffee shop in downtown Athens GA called The Bean'ry.
Who is your mentor in brewing?
I have several people. Michael Elvin, Sarah Kluth, Lem Butler, and Scott Lucey.
Where would you like to be a guest barista?
Peregrine Espresso in Washington DC.
If you couldn’t be a barista - what would you be doing?
I have NO idea.

What in-season single origin coffee are you currently enjoying?
Our Ethiopia Worka Natural. Traditional flavors of blueberry lemon and jam.
What is your current favorite recipe to brew on a trifecta?
The recipe I have for our Organic Costa Rica Cerro Del Fuego.
